The Vampire Wing LiftⓇ is a simple, in-office procedure that uses the restorative and healing growth factors from your own blood combined with a hyaluronic acid dermal filler to revive the labia majora, or “wings”, of the outer vagina.
What is The Vampire Wing Lift®?
The Vampire Wing LiftⓇ is a simple, in-office procedure that uses the restorative and healing growth factors from your own blood combined with a hyaluronic acid dermal filler to revive the labia majora, or “wings”, of the outer vagina. This is done to address loosened and deflated, or atrophied, labia majora and result in a more youthful appearance to the labia. At Advanced Gynecology, we use PRP combined with JuvedermⓇ to inject the labia and stimulate a tissue-building response, including the production of collagen, fatty tissue, and blood vessels.
How is the procedure performed?
On the day of your procedure, we will apply a numbing cream to the labia. We will then draw blood from your arm into a special PRP tube. This sample is then placed into a centrifuge and spun until its platelets and growth factors are separated from the other components of the blood and concentrated into a plasma.
Next, your doctor will combine your PRP with the dermal filler JuvedermⓇ and then inject the substance into the labia to create a more youthful and less deflated appearance.
After your procedure, you can resume regular activities with no sexual downtime. Over the next 2-3 months, the collagen will build in the tissues maximizing the effects.
Can this procedure be combined with any other procedures?
The Vampire Wing LiftⓇ can be combined with a microneedling and radiofrequency procedure, Fractora, to achieve an even more compact smoother appearance and treat discoloration of the labia. It can also be combined with the O-shot if you are have a decrease in sexual sensation.
What should I expect during the recovery period?
- Return to normal activities is immediate.
- Immediate increase in sensation. Some patients may be hypersensitive for the first few days.
- The immediate fluffed appearance will calm down over a couple of weeks, but then around 2-3 months there will be a return to fluffed appearance.
